- for the Emma Goldman Clinic
For those seeking a fun and delicious Sunday
evening in support of a local non-profit, this message is for you.
The Board of Directors of the Emma Goldman Clinic is organizing a
limited seating dinner catered by Leaf Kitchen, a locally owned/woman of
color owned restaurant. The dinner will be held on Sunday, July 29
starting at 6pm. Seating is limited to 38 people at Fired Up Iowa
City inc. located at 112 S. Linn Street in downtown Iowa City. Fired Up
is a locally owned and operated paint your own pottery business owned my
Nancy Westvig and Michael Burt--both great ceramic artists and involved
community business owners. Each place setting will be from their
private collection of dishes.
The menu will include:
Coqauvin or Puff Pastry with Roasted Vegetables
Roasted Potatoes with Capers
Mixed Green Salad with Pears, Cranberries, and Goat Cheese
Appetizers, drinks, and desserts will be provided by the Board and Staff
of the Emma Goldman Clinic.
Tickets are $50 each and can be bought by mailing or dropping off
payment to Fired Up Iowa City, inc. at 112 S. Linn Street, Iowa City.
RSVPs must be received before 5pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2007.
Store hours are Tues. & Thurs. from noon to 6pm, Wed., Fri. & Sat., from
noon to 8pm. Please be sure to note how many tickets you are
purchasing, amount of any extra donation, whether you want the chicken
or vegetarian entree, and your contact information.
Proceeds from this event go to The Goldman Trust, the Emma Goldman
Clinic endowment fund, providing long term financial stability for
feminist reproductive health care services in our area. This is a fun,
delicious, and intimate event. Please join us.
