Emma Goldman Clinic GLBT HEALTH NIGHT 2010
As a part of Pride Month Activities, the Emma Goldman Clinic is sponsoring the GLBT Health Care Night. The Clinic's GLBT Health event is scheduled for Thursday, June 17th, with appointments starting at 3:00 PM. Exams and screenings offered will include routine health exams, STI screening, HIV screening, cervical and anal pap smears, Trans lab work, and additional labs by request...glucose, thyroid etc.

This festive and educational event provides non-judgmental, culturally competent health care with attention to the specific needs and health concerns of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender clients.
The Department of Health & Human Services in Healthy People 2010 recognized gay men & lesbians as 1 of the 6 most underserved minority groups in America. We continue to be committed to providing accessible healthcare to populations that are historically and traditionally underserved and feel as though this is an integral part of the Emma Goldman Clinic's mission. For 20 years the Emma Goldman Clinic has offered a free community health event during Pride Month. This event initially started out as free health care exams and screenings for Lesbians in the community. We eventually expanded to include Bisexual/Lesbian/Transgender (BLT) women, and exams for men who sleep with men (MSM). This will be our second annual GLBT year serving both men and women, in an attempt to cast an even wider net we will offer free services to the full spectrum of the rainbow.
